We just thought you might be interested in some tips that\u2019ll keep your dishes sparkling &#8211; and maybe prevent some re-loading, too.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If your dishwasher was made in the last 10 years, you don\u2019t need to rinse the dishes before loading them. Just scrape the food off gently. You\u2019ll save time and water.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t overload the washer! Make sure the dirty part of every dish has access to the sprayer arm. Give them some space!<\/li>\n<li>Knives and forks get cleaner if they are loaded heads up, but it is safer to load them head down.<\/li>\n<li>Mix spoons with forks, otherwise they will nest. (Remember what we said about space!) Dishes along the backs and sides should face the center.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t put glassware on the bottom. The water pressure on the bottom is higher, which can break glass or melt plastic.<\/li>\n<li>Load glasses and mugs upside down.<\/li>\n<li>Empty the bottom rack first so water from the glasses up top doesn\u2019t drip on the dry dishes below.
