A Thank You to Family Caregivers

The American Cleaning Institute would like to say thank you to all those who are caregivers to family, friends and others in need of assistance. Since it’s Family Caregivers Month, we also want to share a few tips for those who help us all live our best lives.

  • Because our immune systems can weaken as we age, be sure to clean doorknobs, handles, phones, computers, remote controls, countertops and other surfaces that are likely to transmit germs from one person to another.
  • Wash your own hands frequently.
  • Always keep cleaning products tightly sealed and stored away – out of sight and out of reach – when not in use.
  • When cleaning, never leave products, buckets or mops in a place where someone might trip on them.

Please share your tips in the comments!
