How to Speed Clean a Bathroom

It doesn’t matter if you have one bathroom or six, this method is the easiest and quickest way to get them all clean in a hurry. A method that cleans bathrooms quickly from top to bottom is just what you need to get in and out of your bathrooms in a hurry.  Try this method as your weekly routine or just to see how long it really does take, regardless you’ll have properly cleaned and disinfected these hard-working rooms of your home.  The best thing is that this isn’t fake cleaning or touching up – this is complete and thorough cleaning.  It’s important to keep your bathrooms clean to prevent the spreading of germs and illness.  Regular cleaning and wiping each and every surface thoroughly while avoiding cross-contamination is the key to clean bathrooms.  Everyone appreciates a clean bathroom but no one really wants to clean them.  Try this method today and you’ll change how you clean your bathrooms in the future.

GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES AND TOOLS – THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bucket or caddy – to carry supplies from bathroom to bathroom
  • Microfiber cleaning cloths, paper towels, or disinfecting cleaning wipes
  • Glass and mirror cleaner
  • All-purpose disinfecting/bathroom cleaner
  • Scrubbing powder or cleaning paste
  • Toilet brush and cleaner
  • Empty container for dirty cloths or garbage bag for paper towels and cleaning wipes

Start with the mirrors – spray your cloth and wipe the mirror clean. I use a glass and mirror microfiber for lint and streak-free mirrors. Keep this cloth handy and reuse in each bathroom.

Next, move on to your sink, toilet, and bathtub or shower. Spray each hard surface thoroughly with your disinfecting cleaner.  Let this cleaner sit on the surfaces while you repeat in each bathroom.  If you need to scrub any surfaces to get them a little cleaner do your scrubbing before you spray.  Rinse the scrub off completely and then spray the surfaces.

Use your preferred toilet cleaner and brush and do a quick clean of your toilet.

Then REPEAT these steps in each bathroom. Once you’ve done that, go back to the first bathroom and wipe the sink, wipe the toilet, and wipe the tub or shower – take care to use a separate cloth or paper towel for each toilet, sink, and bathtub/shower to avoid cross-contamination. Don’t forget to get the base of your toilets too, wipe these last so you are cleaning the toilets from the top down to the bottom.

Place dirty cloths in a container or the paper towels and cleaning wipes in your garbage bag and move on to wiping down the next bathroom and the next until you have wiped down each bathroom.

Once you have all the surfaces clean, wash the floors using your favorite floor cleaning method. Start washing from the farthest point in the room and wash towards the door as to not step on the wet floor.

Put out fresh, clean towels and enjoy your sparkling clean bathrooms!
