Summer Travel Hacks to Stay Safe and Clean

Whether you’re out with the family at an amusement park, lounging on the beach with friends or hopping on a flight for an outdoor hiking adventure, it’s imperative to stay clean and healthy so you can make the most of your summer travels. Here are some things to keep in mind so you’re prepared when you hit the road:

  • Pack portable products in convenient packaging like cleaning wipes. Being prepared with a packable wipe in your backpack or purse will come in handy for wiping off airplane seat trays, hotel countertops, campsite food surface. It will help kill germs and keep high-touch areas sanitary.
  • Wash your hands. While this one may seem like a no brainer, it’s the best way to prevent illness and the spread of germs, particularly before eating and after using the restroom. No soap and water? Be sure to have a travel size hand sanitizer with you during travels.
  • Be prepared for summer stains and grime. Stain removal wipes can help with condiment drips on clothes, and gentle laundry detergent will remove salt and sand from bathing suits and towels.
  • Keep food safety in mind. If you’re bringing a cooler of food and snacks on your travels, pack it as close to departure time as possible using plenty of ice packs or plastic bags filled with ice cubes. Add and replace ice along the way to keep food at a safe temperature. Wash or sanitize your hands before handling and eating food.

With these tips in mind, you’ll be prepared for fun in the sun this summer, wherever that may be!
