Valentine’s Day is a day of wine, chocolate, romantic dinners – and the stains that go along with them. Here’s some advice on how to remove stains from clothes from the American Cleaning Institute.

First, deal with stains as early as possible. The less time a spot has to soak in, the easier it will be to remove. You should launder clothes a according to the fabric care instructions, using the warmest setting safe for the fabric. If the stain remains, repeat the steps above. Wait until the stain is removed before popping it into the dryer.
