2020 has been a difficult year for many, making this #GivingTuesday a particularly good time to reach out and help. Let’s make the world a better place, whether in a global cause or supporting those in need in the local community. Given the concerns of an ongoing pandemic, along with cold and flu season, one place where there’s a lot of need right now is helping to keep others safe and healthy.

Do you have unopened cleaning or disinfecting supplies? Consider donating these to a local shelter or food bank where they are likely needed. An alternative to donating products could be giving to Clean the World. They bring resources, programming and education on hygiene and sanitation to at-risk populations around the world. Given that handwashing is one of the most important ways to prevent the spread of coronavirus, this work can make an enormous impact in saving lives.

The cleaning products industry is committed to doing its part as well. In the first half of the year, $99 million of in-kind contributions were made by cleaning product companies to communities around the world to help fight COVID-19. While the pandemic has continued, so have these donations, becoming an ongoing way to reach out and help those in need around us.
